Bell, Book, and Candle by BlondeWitch Bell, Book, and Candle by BlondeWitch
Once upon a time...that's how all the good stories begin. Here we have the first page of a faery tale, the open book shows an illustration of a far away land, while the title conjours up images of a witch casting a magick spell. This still-life was inspired in part by the movie "Bell, Book and Candle" and of course the artist's love of reading.

Gorgeous still life, though the elements that caught my atention the most are not the main ones, but the cristal glass and the cloth that hangs out the table, I love how you have worked on them

Thanks! I had my doubts in picking the black cloth, but it worked out in the end. Sadly, the wine glass has since been broken, a rummage sale find I was fond of. But at least it is now immortalized in oils! ;)
